Kaludi Kaludov was trained at the Pancho Vladigerov State Academy of Music in Bulgaria. He made his debut in January, 1978, as Alfredo in La Traviata while he was still a fourth year student at the Academy. Soon he became a principal in the Sofia National Opera and then he began to sing internationally in London, at La Scala and in the US in Chicago, Houston and San Francisco. Since 1994, he is the only Bulgarian singer who has been a regular guest and leading tenor at the International Festival in Savonlina, Finland. His repertoire contains over 60 roles.
