Notes and Editorial Reviews

Born in New York City, violinist Zaida Booth Levin gave her first public performances in Florence, Italy, at the age of 16, to excellent reviews. Returning to the US, she studied with Louis Krasner at Syracuse University, appeared frequently with the Syracuse Symphony, and received Bachelor's and Master's degrees with distinction. While living in the Midwest, she performed radio broadcasts with members of the Detroit Symphony, and was a founding member of the Baroque ensemble, Ars Musica. Returning East, during post-graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music, she married pianist Robert Nathan Levin, and for many years the duo performed the violin and piano repertoire on chamber music series, in music festivals, and at many Read more universities.
