Notes and Editorial Reviews

Demonstrating ASO Music Director Robert Spano's enduring commitment to new music, ASO Media presents a stirring pairing of compositions by 21st century composers. Both works are about emotional journeys. The Symphony, by Atlanta School composer Christopher Theofanidis, was created in response to momentous events in the composer's personal life.  Best disk of new music I bought this year. March 28, 2014 By J. Morrow (Atlanta, GA) See All My Reviews "Some of the reviewers I have read rolled their eyes because the Theofanidis it sounds like an orchestra show-peice. That is their criticism. I completely agree & hope the ASO performs again in the near future. Also: http://sybariticsinger.com/2011/08/02/cdreview/" Report Abuse
