This 1994 Collins recording of the Janaceck String Quartets and Dvorak's String Quartet No. 10 by The Vanburgh Quartet was released to great acclaim by the critics. Janaceck's 2nd String Quartet, widely knownas "Intimate Letters", was inspired by his love for a younger woman, Kamila Stosslova, and composed in 1928.
