WHO TO BLAME???  February 18, 2014 By S. Pearson (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) See All My Reviews "When I saw the composer's name, WAGNER and saw ORGAN TRANSCRIPTIONS... I expected to be swept away by the King of Instruments ! Instead... I felt I'd interrupted a very timid or unskilled organist..practicing. This might be the responsibility of Sound Engineers....to bring the sound Forward, but... I am grateful we have the option to SAMPLE these before we buy ! I would be awfully mad...if I landed this one..without hearing it first ! Music-lovers deserve Much Better !" Report Abuse
Wagner's in There September 21, 2012 By Wil L W. (Richwood, TX) See All My Reviews "I'm not an organ music specialist, but I am pleased to have these Wagner organ transcriptions in my collection. The transcriptions are by Edwin Lemare (1866-1934), who's transcriptions I thought left much to be desired on another CD, but the organ used might also affect the outcome. The organist here is Giulio Mercati. If you'd like these Wagner orchestral works played on organ, I can recommend this CD." Report Abuse
