A very special recording April 22, 2015 By William Rappaport (Atlanta, GA) See All My Reviews "For me this is simply the best recording of these trios, and frankly one of the very best chamber music recordings available. Josef Suk is magnificent, as usual, and along with Julius Katchen they bring out Janos Starker's emotional side, which is when he plays his best. And his best is unsurpassed. These are three master soloists playing truly great chamber music with each other." Report Abuse
Lovely playing Starker June 4, 2013 By Chris M. (Decatur, GA) See All My Reviews "Given that there are already extensive reviews of this recording, I don't have much to add. In my earlier attempts to enjoy Starker's cello style, I found him dry, so the most remarkable thing about this recording was how much I enjoyed his playing and that of Katchen and Suk." Report Abuse
