Pianist, teacher, writer, broadcaster and painter, David Dubal is a recipient of the First ASCAP/Deems Taylor Award for broadcast journalism, and has won numerous other honors, including the coveted George Foster Peabody Award for innovative broadcasting. Mr. Dubal has been a faculty member of The Juilliard School since 1983, and joined the faculty of the Manhattan School of Music in 1994. He has performed in recitals and lecture-recitals in forty states, conducted master classes and lectured world-wide, and judged many international competitions, including the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. Mr. Dubal received the Doctor of Music from the State University of New York (SUNY).

Stanley Waldoff received his musical
Read more training at the Juilliard School. His teachers included Istvan Nadas and Martin Canin. He has toured extensively in solo recitals and concerto appearances with orchestra. Mr. Waldoff has recorded on both the Spectrum and Musical Heritage Society labels. In 2006 he became Professor Emeritus of Music at The University of Southern Mississippi where he taught for many years.

On this album, Mr. Dubal and Mr. Waldoff present keyboard works by American composers, some famous and some rarely heard. A fascinating musical excursion. Read less
