SatisfyingFebruary 2, 2019By E. Barnes (Herndon, VA)See All My Reviews"Hmmm. An album of all-Faure songs sung by one of the most dependable of vocal artists, Frederica von Stade, accompanied by an even more dependable Faure piano specialist, Jean-Philippe Collard. Well! Yes, it's a fine album, equally at home with Faure's best chamber music or his opera Penelope, and equally at home as a collection you would be happy to focus on, or as, say, bedtime music. Faure may not be perfectly suited to the song genre, perhaps, for whatever reason, but he gives it his usual all. Anyway, bottom line, I'm VERY happy with this addition to my library, and I'm glad I got it. I expect it will grow on me."Report Abuse
