Notes and Editorial Reviews

[If] Concerto grosso No. 5 (one of the best-known of the series) is all you need, then Rudolf Baumgartner and the Lucerne Festival Strings offer fine playing and a sonorous pooled tone in good, albeit rather dry stereo sound. The programme also includes a delightful 14-minute Don Quixote Suite by Telemann, Rameau's Troisieme Concert in A major and music by Vivaldi and Johan Helmich Roman.
