Cellist Zuill Bailey’s Bach Cello Suites was a sleeper bestseller in 2010 and he is following up with another stellar release. This time Bailey teams up with longtime pianist and collaborator Awadagin Pratt, for an all-Brahms recording. Their partnership has been hailed by the Saginaw News as “engage[ing] their two instruments in a conversation... both speaking clearly, articulately and passionately,” Zuill and Awadagin perform Brahms’ Sonatas for Cello and Piano Nos. 1 and 2, his Sonatensatz and five songs on this Spring 2011 recording.
