Jane Austin's piano favorites are mine, too!March 8, 2013By Peter K. (Fort Collins, CO)See All My Reviews"I got this for the Pleyel sonatinas, as I was playing one and enjoyed it and was looking to hear more. But the real revelation of this album came from the familiar Clementi sonatinas, where the stylish playing highlighted their quality and made me realize why they have remained in the repertoire while so much else has disappeared--including most of Pleyel! The opening piano reduction of the Piccini opera overture is also a delight, full of flash and wit. Overall, a very enjoyable listening experience. The period instrument sound is attractive here, and well suited to the works chosen."Report Abuse
