A Virtuoso Set by the Virtuosi Saxoniae January 28, 2014 By George Thompson (Gonzales, LA) See All My Reviews "These performances of the Brandenburgs by Ludwig Guettler and the Virtuosi Saxoniae are as good as any and better than most. The sound is bright, the lines are clear, and the instrumentalists are superb. The jacket is highly attractive with the Bach family crest, and the excellent liner notes are in German and English. The only incongruity in my copy is that the CDs are mislabeled: CD 1 (1, 3, and 5) is labeled as CD 2, and CD 2 (4, 6, and 2) is labeled as CD 1. With that minor disclaimer, this German set is highly recommended." Report Abuse
