Trombone Classics December 29, 2013 By Herbert Shapiro (Tarpon Springs, FL) See All My Reviews "As an old trombone player, I was interested in hearing what 20th century composers wrote for the instrument. While John Kritzman is an excellent trombonist, the music is by and large disappointing. With one exception, all the compositions fail to explore the range and techniques of the instrument. The exception is the oldest composition Air Varie by the master trombonist Arthur Pryor. He puts all the other compositions, including such heralded composers as Hindemith, to shame." Report Abuse
