If any guitarist in this country has faster fingers than Nicola Hall I have yet to hear him/her... She plays the socks off the Sarasate, Falla (usually offered as a guitar duet) and Paganini (in less time than many violinists take over it)... There is a pleasant musicality in her playing of the Albêniz and Paradies, also evident in the quieter moments of the Paganini... [O]n a technical level this is a most impressive debut...

UnmissableJanuary 17, 2012By Pete Jinks (Runcorn, Cheshire)See All My Reviews"This album has been a regular favorite of mine since it was first released back in 1993. I often include a track from this or one of Nicola's other discs on my weekly radio show. I particularly admire the fact that much of Nicola's repertoire she had transcribed or arranged herself. Heartily recommended."Report Abuse
