Notes and Editorial Reviews

Franz Liszt's bravura paraphrases of themes from popular operas of his day represent some of his inventive and characteristic music for the piano. Thibaudet's recital contains nine such transcriptions and quite a trove it is, superlatively well played... The clean, realistic recorded sound makes this an early candidate for the list of the year's finest piano recordings.
