Read more style. Here he is set loose on the spectacular C.B. Fisk organ of the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, in a series of spirited improvisations based on tunes most of which are by Gershwin, with a few other standards thrown in. The results are wildly kinetic and kaleidoscopic. Marshall knows his stuff and his instrument and takes us on quite a whirling tour in and around these familiar melodies. It's good fun, and it should also be mentioned that sound-wise, this Delos recording is what is called a demonstration disc. Read less
