This legendary dance piece – an historical, allegorical fantasy in two parts, six acts and eleven scenes – was created by Luigi Manzotti in 1881 (revision by Fiorenzo Carpi & Bruno Nicolai). It is seen here in a live performance directed by Filippo Crivelli and recorded at the La Scala Opera House in July 1978. The star-studded cast includes Carla Fracci, Paolo Bortoluzzi, Anna Razzi, and Bruno Telloli; Enrico De Mori, conductor.
