hearing god's trumpet October 26, 2016 By robert argand (pacifica, CA) See All My Reviews "I write as a trumpet player and lover of the sound of the trumpet since earliest childhood. I have followed numerous great players all of my life, but Nakariakov opens another realm entirely. There is a clarity and prescision and beauty of tone that seems to illuminate another level of existence. Whether at home or listening on a recent trip in my auto,(during which I had to drive through tears of joy), I have found a sublime interpretation in Nakariakov's art. I first heard this album of KDFC, my local station in SAn Francisco, and purchased it immediately thereafter." Report Abuse
The Finest Trumpeter on this sphere July 24, 2013 By James Kendall (PETALUMA, CA) See All My Reviews "Somewhere else, I reviewed Sergei Nakariakov; but not this particular piece. Hakan Hardenberger (sp?) is fine, but next-best. There are many great trumpet players. But none hold the line of disciplined-nuance and controlled resonance like Sergei Nakariakov. Were I King he would be in my court and orchestra." Report Abuse
