Here is a potpourri of arias and instrumental tidbits, those featuring Caruso, Kreisler, Chaliapin, and castrato Alessandro Moreschi drawn from the Victor and HMV catalogs. There are even (virtually inaudible) the voice of Emile Berliner and two orchestral items, the widely circulated Berlioz Roman Carnival Overture recorded in 1920 by Nikisch and a 1924 Hebrides Overture of Mendelssohn with Walter, the latter sonically feeble even by "acoustic" standards but interesting for boasting a rhythmic steadiness not always typical of this conductor in his middle years...
