BEAUTIFUL!!! September 22, 2014 By Zita Carno (Tampa, FL) See All My Reviews "I had been trying to find an album by a New York-based woodwind quintet which, unfortunately, is long out of print---but this is as close as it comes. I particularly fell heels over head with the "Kleine Kammermusik"---the Quintet for Winds, Op.24-2---and I got the biggest kick out of the fourth movement, which to my mind suggests a barnyard jam session with each instrument taking a brief solo between the ensembles. Of course, I'm familiar with all the players in this quintet, and they are first-rate. Thank you one and all." Report Abuse
Not to Be Missed March 1, 2013 By Elizabeth Masoudnia (Gladwyne, PA) See All My Reviews "This recording is not to be missed. Listen to Philadelphia's revered wind playing in some of the greatest music written for woodwind quintets. This is an example of John de Lancie's oboe playing at its absolute best." Report Abuse
