Notes and Editorial Reviews
As an encore to its popular Serenata album (N/S R 1024), the Americas Vocal Ensemble presents an anthology celebrating the marvelously diverse choral music from the New World. Recorded live at Christ Chapel of The Riverside Church in New York City, the album features a wide variety of styles, from captivating music of the colonial era to stimulating works by living composers. A native of Argentina, Nelly Vuksic earned the title of National Professor of Music from the University of Rosario. After settling permanently in the United States, she completed her education at Ball State University. She is the founder and director of the Americas Vocal Ensemble and for over ten years she has been the music director of the United Nations Singers.
