| "Tenenbaum has a warmly attractive tone, enhanced by playing on a splendid Strad. She blazes through the fast portions of the melodic Paganini “sonata.” Interpretively, Tenenbaum does not oversentimentalize the music, but presents it with dignity, calm, and restraint. The programming is varied and welcome, and avoids the numbing similarity of recent “virtuoso” encoure recitals that I’ve been sent. This is a pleasant collection of entertainment music, recorded to flatter the violin. Have a scone and a seat behind the potted palm, and go easy on that clotted cream." -- David K. Nelson – Fanfare – November/December 1995 | |||||
