Two magnificent cantatas by J.S. Bach marked the 30th birthday of the Ricercar Consort in 2010. These performances by the ensemble and its legendary quartet of soloists who have made so many recordings for the series Deutsche Barock Kantaten were created with a team of instrumental and singers at a time when historical performance practice was completely new and sprang from the most recent research done into the performance of Bach's cantatas.
