Notes and Editorial Reviews
When you come to think about it, how amazing it is that a singer whose recording career lasted only seven years (where Decca is concerned) could produce enough material to fill ten CDs even allowing for the addition of much off-the-air material... For those who want to make a choice or are for some reason coming new to Ferrier, I would recommend...the sixth, which has some of her best and most lovable performances of British song, including Purcell's Mad Bess of Bedlam previously available only on an EP, allied to some precious Wolf, sung with new-found subtlety of nuance, from a Norwegian Radio recital.
