"The Dallas Christmas Gala has a secular ambience, in the best "pops" tradition, with pieces by John Williams and Leroy Anderson, not to mention a pair of Christmas medleys. A highlight of the disc is soprano Teresa Gomez's exasperated recitation of all that happened after her true love had finished delivering the 12 drummers, 22 pipers, 30 lords, and all.
