Serkin plays Mozart: A Genuine Pleasure November 5, 2013 By Gregory  W. (Hinckley, OH) See All My Reviews "I've been a fan of Rudolph Serkin for years and I've been hunting the ArkivMusic releases for anything featuring him. This set is no disappointment. This SONY release contains some of the best Mozart piano pieces in Serkin's repertroire. The Rondo in A Minor is from the 75th Birthday Anniversary Carnegie Hall performance. Other orchestral works provide splendid backing to Serkin's mastery of the keyboard, though the piano seems a little too closely miked giving it an upfront presence. But what joyous playing! Adjust your sound system accordingly." Report Abuse
