Wild About Wild June 19, 2013 By Brien Chomica (Winnipeg, MB) See All My Reviews "Why wouldn't you be? Scriabin, Rachmaninoff, Medtner, Prokofiev, Ogden, Hamelin: they are the heritage of the great composer-pianists who are national treasures -- and inter-national! -- treasures. The greatest North American in this lineage is Mr. Earl Wild, and this little collection of lovingly-assorted pieces is a flower in the bouquet of tremendous accomplishment and singular personalities! The repertoire covers a temporal range, but the artistic calibre remains at the highest throughout. I would happily say something about each piece on the CD, but it would be just too long. And, anyway, who am I? -- This is a CD of a great musical artist putting it out live and over the years for each of us right now, as it turns out. -- Get in here, and get up to date! If you love great and challenging and exciting music, you will thank yourself for it!" Report Abuse
