Guitar Virtuosos Collaborate- Outstanding! February 28, 2013 By Henry S. (Springfield, VA) See All My Reviews "For fans of the classical guitar, John Williams and Julian Bream scarcely need any introduction. Their collaboration on this outstanding recording can rightfully be considered an important event. Recorded over 30 years ago, the program spans the historical realm of music transcribed for or written specifically for the guitar, from William Lawes to Ferdinando Carulli to Maurice Ravel. All selections are intimate, lyrical works, allowing both artists to develop and exploit the full range of the classical guitar's sonic qualities. RCA has given us a fabulous recital with this recording, and I highly recommend it." Report Abuse
