The Turkish flute player, Sefika Kutluer studied at the Ankara State Conservatory and graduated with honors in 1979, when she became a flute member of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra. She studied for her soloist career in Ankara, Vienna and Rome. Back in Turkey she taught for many years at the Ankara Conservatory and in 1995 was awarded the Presidential Medal, the highest honor a country bestows upon an individual. In 1998 she became a "State Artist." She displays a masterful technical brilliance and has a wonderful tone color.
