A good, not surpassingly great Carmen. October 16, 2012 By Dr. Mitchell Gurk (Spencer, MA) See All My Reviews "i got this one for Sarasate's Carmen Fantasy, having one of those specific musical hungers for it. Virtuosic in every sense, tho i felt in comparison to Mutter's fiery performance, a little glib. The Chausson Poeme is a repeat filler on other Perlman discs. Wish i had checked before ordering, as this peice is more a difficult listen than a rewarding one." Report Abuse
