A fun collection December 6, 2012 By John Polhamus (Glassboro, NJ) See All My Reviews "This is an old Naxos release that I have owned for many years. It is just a fun piece of work. Peter Breiner's arrangements are extremely clever and well done. He has chosen his program from an international perspective, so there are one or two carols that will be unfamiliar to each audience. "Little Drummer Boy" may not be well known in Europe. For me, the German carols are not the most familiar (such as "Alle Jahre wieder", but they are wonderful. The brass players struggle very briefly at times, but overall execution is fine. This is a great cd to play while trimming the Christmas tree." Report Abuse
