Here are stereo versions of records the mono releases of which I have recommended at various dates during the last couple of years or so, either wholeheartedly or with comparatively minor reservations... In "Fiesta"..., the outsider's view of Spain and Spanish-speaking South American countries predominates. Here, it is in such pieces as Las Chiapanecas from Mexico and Lara's Granada that the benefits of stereo are most pronounced... [B]oth playing and recording are admirable throughout.

Carmen Dragon's records on Capitol with the Hollywood Bowl Symphony did quite well when I was selling records in the 1950s. They were skilledRead more arrangements, tastefully played, and well recorded.

Hi Fi Era Big Sound EspanaMay 19, 2012By robert jones (scott depot, WV)See All My Reviews"This album has the pieces you want and expect, but not enough of them. Missing are such classics as the Ritual Fire Dance and excerpts from Nights in The Gardens of Spain. I've heard more spacxious sound from the Hollywood Bowl, but this is tops for its era. Great listening for summer days on the road."Report Abuse
