This recording offers a richly varied program of Baroque music with a particularly rewarding assortment of composers and works. Very "Mediterranean" is the interpretation by Omar Zoboli and Diego Fasolis, who are documenting ten years of friendship and musical partnership through this recording. Original works and transcriptions alternate without any stylistic break and, although playing on modern instruments, the artists respect the principles of early-music performance practice.
