Cantatas brought to vibrant life October 19, 2012 By Jan Chciuk-Celt (Portland, OR) See All My Reviews "It's easy to say it: Helmuth Rilling makes Bach thrilling. Besides the specious rhyme, though, it must be said that Rilling's approach brings a vibrant, thrilling freshness to Herz und Mund, resulting in a rendition the likes of which I've never heard before nor since. The very first few measures put the listener on notice that something special is happening here. Recommend this as a Best-ever recording." Report Abuse
