Carlo Galeffi was one of the most renowned Italian baritones of his time, yet his recorded legacy has never been considered as being in the same league as that of many of his contemporaries. Occasionally even disparaging remarks have been made, mainly because the quality of Galeffi's records varies considerably. The present compilation constitutes an attempt to present those records best suited to demonstrate the sheer size as well as the special characteristics of this truly remarkable voice.
