Notes and Editorial Reviews

REVIEW:

Yepes’s cadenza in the famous Guitar Concerto is as clean and bright as a new pin, and his rapid repeated-note finish is fantastic. I am coming to regard the Fantasia para un gentilhombre with its gracious nobility and baroque feeling as a masterpiece to match the more famous Concerto. Zabaleta's performance and interpretation of the Harp Concerto is most beautiful and convincing. The recording is immaculate.

Well Done July 7, 2019 By T. Norris (Brawley, CA) See All My Reviews "I first listened to this CD in my car while on a recent road trip and found it relaxing but not apt to put one to sleep. Also, the music is interesting enough to keep one mentally engaged but not to the point of distraction. That makes it ideal as background music for dinner or conversation. The performances and sound are excellent." Report Abuse
