REVIEW:
In the love duet from Otello he sounds marvelously virile and tireless. Calleja has the voice for all these difficult arias and duets, and so long as he doesn’t attempt too much too soon he may well become the leadingRead more Italianate tenor of his generation.

Impressive.March 20, 2018By Brian L. (Fall River, NS)See All My Reviews"I have followed Calleja since he first hit the opera world. This is the best recording of him by far. His voice has mellowed and the range has been extended. He now reminds me of the late Josef Schmidt in the way he handles Verdi. Just a wonderful selection of arias that highlight his incredible power."Report Abuse
