Amazing set April 12, 2017 By Jeffrey Stiffman (Saint Louis, MO) See All My Reviews "Amazing performance. He is a true phenomenon. I wish that he would allow more recordings. The DVD helps to understand this enigma of a great artist." Report Abuse
Very Special Performances April 12, 2017 By James Krebsbach (Washington, DC) See All My Reviews "I was so glad to hear Sokolov allowed these live performances to be released commercially. the Mozart is sublime, especially the second movement. The Rachmaninoff 3rd for me is one of the great performances of this work. Sokolov bares his Russian soul in this unique performance. It has everything - grandeur, pathos and a level of excitement that will give you goosebumps. This is no technically competent race to the finish line but a soul searching journey you will not forget. A very special performance." Report Abuse
