Lots of duplication - but still a good value May 19, 2017 By Louis Michael Galie Louis Michael Galie (LEANDER, TX) See All My Reviews "Herbert Karajan is especially noted for his conducting of instrumental works. He does a decent job with choral works, assisted greatly by the VPO and Vienna Singverein. However - Three Mozart Requiems, 2 Haydn Ctreations, 2 each of the Verdi Requiem, Brahms Ein deutsches requiem, and Beethoven's Missa - as well as an additional live recording of the Haydn! It is fun to compare these performances, separated by as much as 20 years - and all recorded with DG's typical attention to sonic engineering." Report Abuse
