Igor Oistrakh, son of great violinist David Oistrakh, presents this new album of concertos by Edward Elgar and Joseph Haydn. Igor Oistrakh is the first Soviet violinist to perform Edward Elgar’s Violin Concerto. This concerto is dedicated to Fritz Kreisler, and beautifully demonstrates the violin’s virtuosic and emotional possibilities.
