Wonderful CD ! December 20, 2013 By Sven Maaloe (Tranekaer, Denmark) See All My Reviews "This is a wonderful and joyful recording, strongly recommended. Eugene Ormandy has been called the best of the second best conductors, however, his Wilhem Tell is much better than Herbert von Karajans, and his Zampa by Herold is far better than Leonard Bernsteins, so he is actually better than the best. The reason for degrading Ormandy is probably his popular americanized LP titles, like Romantic Classics, The best of Mozart, etc. If you enjoy classical music this CD is a must for you. The sound is excellent." Report Abuse
