Fills in the bald spots May 10, 2013 By JC Trepitone See All My Reviews "HAIR has gone through so many iterations and revisions of its score that, even if you're familiar with, like, or even love the American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, there might be some tunes you haven't heard. Discovering something like Electric Blues, the usual act 2 opener that wasn't on the best-selling show LP, or hearing original cast members perform songs like Dead End, Exanaplanatooch, Mr. Berger, Climax, The Bed, and the original finale Washing the World (before they let the sunshine in) gives a more rounded insight into what was going on in the free-form, nearly plotless happening that was HAIR. Some of the other tracks, meh, borderline thrills at best, but there's enough mellow gold here to fire up the pleasant rush of remembrance. (By the way, check out Milos Forman's movie for an imaginative re-configuration of the characters and an interestingly light and bouncy plot.)" Report Abuse
