Bombast in Style! May 6, 2013 By James D. S. (Villa Hills, KY) See All My Reviews "Maazel gives us a very good 1812 in fine recorded sound. The Wellington's Victory is the best rendition I have ever heard of this piece which is for people who enjoy something a little off-beat. Too often, the "rifle shots" sound like anything but musket fire, but this version manages to pass muster. If you are in the market for an 1812 et al, you could do far worse than this CD. Recommended!" Report Abuse
