Norma Wendelburg is a native of Kansas and graduated from Bethany College in Kansas and then the University of Michigan and Eastman. Her teachers included Otto Luening and Ingolf Dahl. Today she no longer teaches or performs in public on the piano. She does compose in her studio in her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. Marilyn Shrude was born and raised in Chicago. She studied music at Northwestern with Alan Stout and William Karlins. Today she is active as a composer, pianist and clinician with her husband John Sampen, a saxophonist. Anna Larson studied composition, conducting and piano at Sarah Lawrence. She earned advanced degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Maryland. the theater. Janice Misurell-Mitchell was born and raised in Newark, N.J. She studied at Goucher College, Peabody and Northwestern. At present she is on the faculty of DePaul University School of Music in Chicago. She is a composer, performance artist and a very busy flutist. Paula Diehl, who came from China to this country as an infant with her Danish parents, was raised in Northern New Jersey. To date she has composed almost one hundred compositions. Read less
