Ten out of ten for eight out of twelve of Vivaldi's scintillating Estro armonico concertos
Tafelmusik Baroque and guest artist Elizabeth Wallfisch have all the energy one has come to expect in top-notch Vivaldi, but also real warmth to their playing. Also a delightful relaxed quality. temporal excess--a stance joined in equal measure by her fellow soloists and her very fine orchestral partners. This is Vivaldi performance uninhibited by self-conscious stylistic gestures or distracting "period" mannerisms--it's just informed, virtuosic ensemble playing"

"Tafelmusik’s 13 strings, impeccably in tune, create a taut ensemble while slow movements are treated to beautifully expressive playing. Recording, in a warmly resonant Toronto church, is excellent with the stereo spectrum aptly wide for the dialogue between soloists."
