Notes and Editorial Reviews

The case for the clavichord put most eloquently by Spányi

This may be the answer to clavichord fans’ dreams, as Miklós Spányi makes a persuasive case for the instrument in this music (especially in the more intimate sections). Given that these works came quite early in CPE Bach’s career, there is a terrific variety and emotional development to them – Spányi certainly has their measure.
