Sublime Music May 26, 2015 By Julian Kerrell-Vaughan (SAI KUNG, Hong Kong) See All My Reviews "Magisterial, magnificent, glorious, uplifting, superb performances and wonderful to have them together in this boxed set. How fortunate were the Princes Esterházy in having a court composer such as Haydn. One wonders however how Haydn himself was able to detach from the sharp exigencies of life at home with a cantankerous woman to write such sublime music. I hope one day to find that he and Mozart are charged with providing the music for daily Mass on alternating days in Heaven..." Report Abuse
