Renée Fleming has quickly become established as one of the world's finest interpreters of Richard Strauss, and STRAUSS HEROINES is her second CD of proof. Although she has many years ahead of her in the roles sampled, she has already mastered Strauss' operatic idiom. As a student she grew to love his vocal music and his sense of how to write for the soprano voice in particular.
