Notes and Editorial Reviews

There is much to enjoy in Barton Pine's sensitive, finely honed performances, especially of Nos. 4 & 5 (plenty of temperament in the latter's 'Turkish' eruption). With a nod to period performance, she articulates crisply and uses vibrato modestly. Marriner, who must have conducted more Mozart than anyone alive, and the ASMF are urbanely attentive in support.

Very 21st century August 4, 2015 By Kevin D. (Oakland, NJ) See All My Reviews "All cadenzas are WAY too long; and she drops them EVERYWHERE. And they sound modern, very un-eighteenth-century. On the plus side, she is talented, and Marriner and the ASMF are faultless as usual." Report Abuse
A Treasure February 14, 2015 By David J. (Los Angeles, CA) See All My Reviews "A treasure to have all the Mozart violin concertos done so beautifully and in one set. Many too rarely heard. A must have if you love Mozart. Enjoy!" Report Abuse
