Leonore Overture # 3 at its very best !!! Bravo  December 17, 2016 By Beverly P. (Bermuda Dunes, CA) See All My Reviews "I have listened to many orchestras and conductors over the years perform the Beethoven Leonore Overture # 3 and nothing comes close to Claudio Abbado and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra's performance. I had heard this recently on KUSC Classical Radio and had to track it down to find out whose performance it was. When I did, the best and only place I could find this particular CD was on ArkivMusic. So glad that there is a place that understands the importance of preserving some of these masterpieces and making them available to discerning audiences. I ended up gifting this particular CD to several special friends for the holidays. Kudos to ArkivMusic and standing ovation for this particular performance by Claudio Abbado and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra." Report Abuse
